By the Water: Six Boats and a Truck
In contrast to a celebration of trees, my interest in boats comes from their intriguing colour and contours, their waving reflection in the water, and the possibility of movement and memory that these old boats and the older truck present. In setting the boats in a large lake or a running stream, where one reflects the other, they complete the circle of nature and ourselves: water, sand, movement, tranquility.
