Still Life: Fruit, Flowers and Reflection
The shine is always the first thing to catch my eye, the upside-down of colour as it is reflected in the metal of a table or still water in a vase, stems crisscrossed in awkward shapes or in deep shadow. Still Life also enables the viewer to look very closely, at thistles or strawberries, orange segments or the insides of a flower.Capturing an organism allows the viewer to enter the scene, to sit at the table with the jugs and flowers, to also reflect.
