Scenes From Away
In this gallery, I include a smattering of my travels to distant places including India, Thailand, and Portugal, where I found the pace to be much slower, the markets busier, and the light much brighter. A self-portrait is set at a market stand in India, our cultures celebrated with an amazing headdress. Other portraits examine differences in perception and atmosphere; the outdoor scenes draw from details such as ancient doors, reverend and mysterious, and the hot and vibrant colours of places in the sun.
